Where do you work in Ohio?

Our Ohio mold remediation service areas are Cincinnati, Dayton and Columbus. We don't have an Ohio office. Every Ohio project is run from our office in Avon, Indiana, and our crews travel to you. We schedule testing visits and remediation work around that travel, so Ohio appointments are booked ahead rather than same day, and any travel costs appear in your written scope before work begins.

Served from our office at 137 Production Dr, Avon, IN.

Mold in Ohio homes: what to watch for

Southwest and central Ohio share much of Indiana's weather: humid summers, cold winters that freeze and thaw repeatedly, and heavy spring rain. Basements are common across the region, and they are where we'd look first. Summer humidity condenses on cool foundation walls and ductwork, and spring storms test sump pumps, gutters and grading.

Rivers shape all three cities. Cincinnati sits on the Ohio River, Dayton on the Great Miami, and Columbus where the Scioto and Olentangy meet. Homes in low-lying areas near any of them are worth watching after heavy rain, and older housing stock in established neighborhoods often has basements and crawl spaces that were never well waterproofed.

Why families trust us with their homes

  • Family-owned since 2008

A multigenerational family business. Not a franchise, not a private-equity rollup.

  • Credentialed where it isn't required

Indiana doesn't license mold remediators. We hold IICRC, CMR, CRMI and CCMI credentials anyway.

  • Called on as experts

Attorneys bring us into legal cases involving mold and mycotoxins.

  • Lab results in 24 to 48 hours

Every inspection comes with a written report, color photos and lab results.

How we schedule Ohio projects

We want to be straightforward about distance. Cincinnati, Dayton and Columbus are a drive of a few hours from our Avon office, so we plan Ohio work in advance instead of promising same-day visits. Testing appointments are scheduled on days when a specialist is traveling your way. Remediation projects are planned as a block, with the crew, equipment and containment materials arriving together so the work runs start to finish without unnecessary trips back and forth.

Samples go to the lab right after collection, and results come back in 24 to 48 hours. We can walk you through them by phone or video, so you don’t have to wait for a second visit to understand where things stand.

Same method, every state

An Ohio project gets the same process as a home down the road from our office: testing first, a written scope, contained remediation, enzyme-based treatment, and clearance testing before we call it finished. That process is laid out in the AME Clearance Method.

If you’re comparing companies, ask each one whether they test for mycotoxins, whether clearance testing is included, and who reads the lab results. Our guide to choosing a mold remediator has more questions worth asking.

Before your testing visit

A few simple steps make the first visit more useful. Don’t clean, bleach or paint over anything you suspect is mold, because that can change what the samples show. Keep windows closed and run the house normally for a day or so beforehand. Write down when you first noticed the problem, any past leaks or flooding, and any repairs you know about. If you have a home inspection report, a previous mold report or photos of earlier water damage, have them ready. And if anyone in the home is working with a doctor on a mold-related concern, tell us, so we can include the testing that will be most useful to them.

Other Midwest states we serve

Our home base is Indiana, where we serve cities across the state. We also travel south to Louisville and Lexington in Kentucky, west into Illinois and north to West Michigan.

Ohio questions

Have a question that isn't here? Call a specialist

Do you have an office in Ohio?

No. All of our Midwest work, including Ohio, is run from our office at 137 Production Dr in Avon, Indiana. Our crews travel to Ohio projects, and we'll tell you honestly how that affects scheduling when you call.

Does Ohio require a license for mold remediation?

We're not going to guess at another state's rules. Requirements can change and can vary locally, so check with Ohio and your city or county. Whatever applies, you can ask any company, including us, what credentials it holds and what testing it does before and after.

Does travel from Indiana cost extra?

Travel is included in the written scope we give you after testing, so you see it before agreeing to any work. Ask when you call and we'll explain what applies to your location.

Can you test first and decide on remediation later?

Yes. Many Ohio clients start with testing only. You get the lab results and our written recommendations with no obligation to hire us for the remediation.

We're done when the lab says so.

Every remediation ends with clearance testing, and our work is backed by a complete-removal guarantee. We don't close a job on a failed result.
