This policy explains what information American Mold Experts collects through this website, how we use it and the choices you have. We’ve written it in plain language because you should be able to understand it without a lawyer.

Information you give us

When you request a callback, the form asks for your name, phone number, email address, ZIP code, a short description of your situation and an optional message. If you call or email us, we receive whatever you choose to share in that conversation.

Home Mold Risk Check and photos

Our Home Mold Risk Check asks questions about your home. Your answers are scored in your browser and are only sent to us if you request a phone consultation. If you add photos, your browser shrinks them and removes location data before uploading. With your permission, we send the photos and any description you type to Anthropic, an AI service provider, only to create the automated photo review you see. We keep uploaded photos privately for up to six hours. If you request a consultation and choose to share them, we keep them with your request, where only our staff can see them. Otherwise they are deleted. The photo review is automated, can be wrong and is not a professional assessment.

Text messages

If you check the box to receive text messages, we use your mobile number to text you about your request, such as your consultation and appointment reminders. We keep a record of your consent, including when you gave it, the wording you agreed to, the page and your IP address. Message frequency varies, and message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out or HELP for help. We do not sell, rent or share your mobile number or text message consent with third parties or affiliates for their marketing or promotional purposes. We only share it with the service providers that deliver our messages and manage our customer records, and only to do that work. See our SMS terms.

How we use it

We use this information only to respond to you: to call you back, answer your questions, schedule testing or other services you ask for, and keep records of our work for you. We don’t sell your information, and we don’t share it with other companies for their marketing. We may share it with service providers who help us run the website or our business, such as hosting, email, customer management and AI providers, and only as needed for them to do that work. We may also disclose information if the law requires it.

If you tell us about someone’s health, we treat that as sensitive and use it only to understand your situation. We share test results with your doctor only when you give us permission.

Cookies and analytics

This website may use cookies and analytics tools to understand how visitors use the site, such as which pages are visited and how people arrive. This information helps us improve the site. It is generally collected in aggregate and isn’t used to identify you personally. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. The site will still work if you do.

How we protect and keep information

We take reasonable steps to protect the information you share with us. No website or email system is perfectly secure, so please don’t send highly sensitive information, such as financial account numbers, through the form. We keep information for as long as we need it to serve you and to meet our business and legal obligations.

Your choices
