Nationwide projects
Mycotoxin remediation specialists who travel to you
When nobody nearby tests for mycotoxins or works to your doctor's target, we come to you.
Why hire a mycotoxin remediation specialist who travels?
A mycotoxin remediation specialist who travels brings a kind of work many areas simply don't have: testing for mycotoxins, not just mold, remediation that reaches the dust, HVAC system and belongings, and clearance measured against the target your doctor set. For families dealing with mold illness, that standard matters more than proximity. We have local crews in Indiana and Southwest Florida and travel for these projects anywhere in the United States.
Why local options often fall short for these families
Most remediation companies do good work by an ordinary standard: remove the visible mold, dry things out, pass an air test. A family whose doctor is tracking mold illness is usually asked to meet a different standard, often a dust DNA score and a mycotoxin panel, across the whole house rather than one room.
When the local choices don't test for mycotoxins, can't explain how they'd meet a doctor's target, or rely on fogging, families start looking further afield. Distance matters less than whether the work will actually pass the test that counts.
Sound familiar?
- No local company tests for mycotoxins.
- Local quotes cover the moldy room but not the dust or the HVAC.
- Your doctor's target is a test nobody nearby seems to know.
- You can't be in the house while the work is done, and need someone you can trust with it.
We do it differently.
| A typical local job | A specialist project for a sensitive household | |
|---|---|---|
| Target | The contractor's usual clearance | The test and result your doctor wants |
| Mycotoxins | Not tested | Tested before and after |
| Reach | The affected room | Source, whole-home dust, HVAC and contents |
| Treatment | Biocides or fogging | Removal, enzyme treatment and HEPA cleaning |
| Your doctor | Not involved | Sent the reports, with your permission |

The AME Clearance Method
How a traveling mycotoxin project works for a sensitive household
The core process is the same one we use on every mycotoxin job. What changes is how much is decided before we arrive, and how the family is protected during the work.
Talk to a specialist-
Talk with the family first
We learn the home's history and what the doctor has asked for. With your permission, we'll speak with the doctor's office about testing targets.
-
Test to the doctor's target
On-site inspection plus dust DNA testing, a mycotoxin panel and air sampling, so the plan is built on data. Lab results usually return in 24 to 48 hours.
-
Write the scope around the family
Containment, removal, cleaning, HVAC, contents and clearance, plus whether the family should stay elsewhere and which room gets cleared first.
-
Fix the source before we clean
The moisture problem is corrected, by us or another trade as the scope specifies, so the work isn't undone by the next storm.
-
Remediate the whole path
Contaminated materials removed, enzymes applied to break down remaining toxins, HEPA cleaning throughout, and the HVAC system cleaned where testing calls for it.
-
Sort and clean contents
Belongings are cleaned, held or replaced according to a written plan, and nothing returns to a cleared room uncleaned.
-
Clear it and share it
Clearance testing, including a repeat mycotoxin panel, measured against the agreed target. You and your doctor receive the complete reports.
What a traveling mycotoxin project includes
- A consultation with the family, and the doctor's office with permission
- Testing matched to the doctor's target
- Mycotoxin panels before and after the work
- A written scope and price before travel
- Strict containment and negative air
- Enzyme treatment and whole-home HEPA cleaning
- HVAC cleaning where testing calls for it
- A written plan for belongings
- Clearance reports you can share with your doctor
Proof you can hold in your hands
When we finish, you don't get a handshake and a promise. You get the paperwork your family, your doctor, your insurer or your buyer can rely on.

Mycotoxin remediation from a distance
What makes mycotoxin work different
Mold is alive. Mycotoxins are not. They’re stable chemical compounds that some molds produce, and they stay behind in settled dust, porous materials and belongings after the mold itself is dead. That’s why a job built to kill mold can look finished and still leave the toxins in place.
Removing them takes two things done together: physically removing the materials and dust that carry them, and breaking down what’s left on framing, subfloors and hard-to-reach surfaces. Then it takes testing to prove it worked. Our guide to mycotoxins in homes covers the science in more depth.
When a doctor is part of the picture
Most of the families who ask us to travel are working with a doctor who has connected their health to the house. That changes the project in three practical ways:
- The target is set before we start. We ask which test the doctor will be reading and what result they want to see, and clearance measures that.
- The scope is wider. Whole-home dust, the HVAC system and contents are part of the plan, not optional extras.
- The family’s living arrangements shape the schedule. Many families stay elsewhere during the work. Some need one room cleared first so they have somewhere clean to return to.
We stay on the building side of every decision. Your doctor makes the medical calls, and our page on working with your doctor on a moldy home explains how that coordination works.
Questions to ask any traveling specialist
If you’re comparing companies willing to travel, including us, these questions separate specialists from generalists who happen to have a van:
- Do you test for mycotoxins before and after every job?
- Will you test to my doctor’s target, and what happens if clearance doesn’t meet it?
- Does your scope include whole-home dust removal and the HVAC system?
- How will you protect rooms we’re still using?
- Do you give a written scope and price before travel is booked?
- What products will you use, and why those?
About the enzymes we use
For our part, we use plant-based enzyme products designed to break down mold and mycotoxins. Enzymes are one step of the method, alongside removal, HEPA cleaning and clearance testing, and they don’t replace removing materials that can’t be saved or fixing the moisture. You can read more on our enzyme mold remediation page.
Preparing from a distance
If you’ve already moved out, or you’re staying elsewhere, a few things make the project go more smoothly. Arrange access to the house for the testing visit and the work dates. Ask before changing how the HVAC system runs in an empty house, since shutting it off can let humidity climb in some climates. Hold off on moving belongings between the house and where you’re staying until there’s a plan for cleaning them. And gather any past reports, repair records and photos so they’re ready for the consultation.
When the project is finished
You’ll receive the complete clearance lab reports alongside the baseline results, so the change is easy to see and easy to share with your doctor. From there, keeping the home clean is about moisture and dust. Our guide to preparing a home for mold illness recovery covers the first months after clearance.
We remove mold and mycotoxins from buildings. We don’t diagnose or treat medical conditions, and nothing on this page is medical advice. Please make health decisions, including whether and when to return to a home, with your doctor. With your permission, we’re glad to share test results and our plan with them.
Common questions
Have a question that isn't here? Call a specialist
Why can't I just hire a local mold company?
You may be able to. Ask whether they test for mycotoxins, whether they'll test to your doctor's target, and whether their scope includes whole-home dust and the HVAC system. If the answers are yes, a local company can be a good choice.
Can the family stay somewhere else during the work?
Many sensitive families do. We plan the schedule around where you'll be staying, and we'll describe containment and dust control so you and your doctor can decide what makes sense.
How will I know what's happening if I'm not in the house?
Ask for updates at each stage and we'll keep you informed. The written scope tells you what should happen, and the clearance reports show whether it worked.
Do you test for mycotoxins on every project?
Yes. We test before and after every job, mycotoxins included. For families dealing with mold illness, we also match the testing to what their doctor has asked for.
What products do you use to break down mycotoxins?
Plant-based enzyme products from US Enzyme, designed to break down mold and mycotoxins. We use them together with removal and HEPA cleaning, never as a substitute for either.
Will you talk to my doctor?
Yes, with your permission. We'll share test results, the written plan and the clearance reports, and answer questions about the building. We don't give medical opinions.
Who decides when it's time to move back in?
Your doctor, with you. We provide the clearance results. Whether a particular person should return is a medical decision.
We're done when the lab says so.
Every remediation ends with clearance testing, and our work is backed by a complete-removal guarantee. We don't close a job on a failed result.
