Your Home Mold Risk Check
This is an estimate, not an assessment. It is based only on your answers and, if you added them, an automated photo review that can be wrong. Mold cannot be identified from photos; only an inspection and lab testing can confirm it. This result is not a replacement for a formal professional assessment and is not medical advice.

The check asks about the things mold specialists look at first: where you’re worried, what you can see or smell, the home’s water history and how humid it feels. Each answer adds to a simple score, and the score becomes a lower, moderate or higher risk result. You also get the reasons behind it and next steps that match your answers, including when EPA guidance says a small area is a do-it-yourself job and when it isn’t.
The check is about your home, not your health. We ask one yes or no question about health concerns only so we can suggest the right kind of testing. If someone in the home is unwell, please talk with a doctor. We can explain on the call how mold testing for mold illness works with your doctor’s plan.
What the AI photo review can and can’t do
If you add photos, an AI model describes what it can see in each one: spotting, staining, peeling paint, warping or condensation, and how likely it is that the spots are growth. It’s a useful second pair of eyes, but it can be wrong. Dirt, soot, shadows and old water stains can look like mold in a photo, and a lot of mold grows where no camera can see it, inside walls, under floors and in ductwork.
Mold can’t be identified from a photo. Only an inspection and lab testing can confirm what it is and how much there is. The review never names a mold type and never says anything about health. Treat it as a starting point for a conversation, not a replacement for a formal professional assessment. Our guide to mold inspection vs. mold testing explains what a real assessment includes.
Your free phone consultation
After your result, you can call us or ask for a call back. A specialist will go over your answers, look at your photos if you choose to share them, and tell you honestly whether you need testing, remediation or nothing at all. The consultation is free and there’s no obligation. Call (833) 772-6653, seven days a week from 8am to 8pm.
Your photos and privacy
Photos are shrunk and stripped of location data in your browser before they’re uploaded. They’re sent to Anthropic, the AI provider, only to produce your review, and we keep them privately for up to six hours. If you request a consultation and choose to share them, only our staff can see them. If you don’t, they’re deleted. The privacy policy has the details.
